How I work:
In my work, I focus on carefully accompanying clients on their journey to better understanding their own emotions, thoughts, and reactions, while collaboratively developing realistic and personalized coping strategies. Empathy, respect for each person’s individual story, and creating a safe, non-judgmental space for an open conversation are central to my approach.
I work primarily within a Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) framework, integrating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychoeducation and active work with thoughts, emotions, and values. I place importance on a clear structure of sessions and adjusting the pace of work to the client’s needs.
Counselling is available for adults, including individuals with multicultural backgrounds, experience with moving abroad and those in intercultural relationships.
Biography (Background)/experience:
I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. In my professional work, I combine academic knowledge with a culturally and religiously sensitive approach, shaped both by my education and my personal experience of living in multicultural environments.
During my studies, I gained educational experience in both Poland and Italy (Università di Trento), including a short observational internship in psychiatric wards at the Regional Hospital for Mental and Nervous Disorders in Gniezno.
My professional interests focus around the topics of identity, relationships, self-esteem, the psychology of change and intercultural functioning. I am particularly interested in topics related to living between cultures and building a sense of belonging and internal coherence. I continuously develop my professional competencies by participating in courses and training.
In my work, I am guided by the belief that most of the change process takes place between sessions, and that the role of the psychologist is to offer attentive support, help clients recognize their inner resources and strengthen their sense of agency and self-confidence.
I work under regular professional supervision and adhere to the ethical principles of the psychologist profession.
